The Library

Art should be given from the heart, not sold.  Granted, in order to survive in this world, one must have a way to make money, so artists sell their work on paper, digital media, canvas, and any number of other materials, yet true artists work for the joy of being able to share their gift with the world, not for material gain.

My name is Richard Veysey.  I am an author.  I reject the notion that artists should have to go through a big company in order to be heard in this day when almost anything is available at the touch of a button.  I want to share my thoughts and words with the world for as little as I can, although I also wish to be able to make a living from my art.  That is why I’m creating this page.

Call it an experiment: I hypothesize that by posting my writing online, at no cost to users, I can share my art AND make money doing it.  I can’t do it alone, though.  I’ll be finding pages and places I believe you, my readers, will enjoy and seeking to put advertisements from them on my site.  When people follow the links, I’ll get a little bit of money that will, at first, supplement my current, meager income, but may eventually overshadow what I earn working in the “real world.”  That’s where you come in.  I don’t need anyone to buy anything; I made this page so people wouldn’t have to spend money for my art, after all.  All I ask is if you like what you read, please follow the links and support me.  In return, I will post my writing as often as I can, giving you stories that I hope will entertain you and make you think.

Thank you for being here.  Thank you for your support.  Thank you for being a reader.
